We all stand on the brink of uncertainty.
We don’t know what will happen next. Even the most well laid plans can go by the wayside.
What we see as a masterpiece, others could not think less of.
And, as in life, the same goes with business.
We make plans, we lay out the map, but even the best made plans can go awry.
Because it all depends on the consumer. Client. Customer. it is all the same.
It is what any company needs to have a successful business.
And there is only one thing sure in this crazy, mad, challenging race called business.
If you don’t have happy clients, they leave. And, if you don’t have clients, you don’t have a business.
I think (as many of us know) that the most focus has to go toward pleasing the client, keeping them well satisfied and happy should be number one. But how to achieve this?
1. Everything is based on client preference.
If you are in the clothing industry, you are not going to try selling heels, when flats are all the rage, or capris, when it is clear that skinny jeans are in.
2. Charge a fair price.
If you price too high, you will end up having fewer clients, and losing business, but on the flip side, you will have to blame yourself for not having priced more accurately, and thereby having lost customers. Do be careful to not price to low, and then lose profit.
3. Make sure that you have good sales people.
You want people in customer service that are friendly, patient, and outgoing. Since they are the ones representing your company to the public, make sure that they are doing it well!
4. Good communication.
This does not go for just the sales reps, but also for your website, brochures, business cards, etc. You need to communicate your products, services, location, etc. in a clear way. There should be no confusion.
5. A good name.
No just for your company (yes, you do want something catchy, and easy to remember), but also a good reputation. You don’t want to be known as a shady business. When anyone hears of your company, it should only be good things.
6. Be a good boss.
As much as you need the clients, you cannot forget what makes most companies run-the employees. A good employer makes happy employees, which in turn tend to be nicer to the client…..it is the trickle affect we are talking about here….
