Sometimes an Animated Logo is a good idea...
The world of animated logos. These, as you may well know, don’t function very well in business cards, newspaper ads, etc…

Animated logos can, however, be very effective in the online world, as well as television advertisement. Making logos animated can seem more appealing to some people, while if done wrong quite bothersome to others. A animated logo, meaning moving logo can serve well to many functions and has a large variety of possible features. Features can include your logo being “drawn out” in a simple swivel of lines and curves. Additionally, it can also contain flashing elements or the appearance of a catch line under the logo; or even the spinning globe you see here and there.

Animated logos must be created carefully, and ensure that it is not overdone as many times they have been. Animation of a character in your logo can be of great success. Say you were selling baseball bats, and your logo included a cartoon character holding a bat; your animation could be having the character swing the bat. As I stated earlier, you do not want the animation to be overdone. Too much flashing or quick movements can prove to be quite irritable and annoying. Imagine you visit a site where the header logo constantly flashes an obnoxious yellow color. Would you not want to leave the site?

Animation of your logo should, as with abstract logos, stay reasonably simple. You want it to last between 2 to 4 seconds long, definitely not longer. Animated logos can not only be used for your header on your website. They can also be put in advertisements and used across the web as well as the TV. In designing your animated logo, look at what your site concentrates on and how it is designed (with what colors). If you have a bluish design, have your animated logo include the color blue. Have your animated logo coincide with the type of information that can be found on your web site or blog. If you are not well practiced with animation and logo creation, don’t waste any time on trying to.

There are multiple websites out on the internet that provide great deals for services in logo animation and creation. A logo can be just as effective as an animated logo. But naturally, if done properly, an animated logo can prove to be amazingly appealing to your audience.
