  • If you’re a creative that’s feeling lost at where you can find inspiration we’ve shared our list of top recommendations
  • Traveling, taking walks, and spending time with family are all ways that you can find inspiration as a logo designer

As a logo designer, you find inspiration for your designs and you need it to be able to create. Inspiration is single-handedly one of the most important aspects of your job and it’s also one of the toughest things that you can find, especially when you’re in a creative rut. Sometimes you just won’t feel motivated to create and regardless of where you look, you can never seem to feel inspired. Sometimes, when you need to think of new ideas, it sparks instantly and other days inspiration is nowhere to be found.

This can be frustrating and put a halt to your creative process and leave you feeling defeated. But the good news is that inspiration is everywhere and sometimes you don’t have to look far before you’ll be feeling motivated to work again. If you’re at a loss of where you can find inspiration and need some motivation to get started with work again, we’re here to help. In this article, we’ll tell you three of the best places to find inspiration as a logo designer!

Travel

This one may seem extra for seeking inspiration, but you’d be surprised how much getting out and traveling can inspire you. When you travel, you’re experiencing different cultures, people and getting a full experience. This is why people usually feel so apt to go back to work and start on projects when they return from vacation; they feel inspired by what they’ve seen and are usually ready for normal again.

If you can afford to take the time to travel to a different country or around the states then you certainly should, but you don’t even have to go that far. Sometimes a weekend visit to a different city or some time spent just traveling around the area can leave you feeling refreshed. Look for flight deals and hop on one to a city that you’ve never been to before or take a drive to a city near you. Sometimes just a change of scenery and switching things up is all that you need to get some inspiration.

Take A Walk

As a creative, you spend a lot of time inside your own head. You spend a lot of time with your own thoughts and sitting in front of a computer screen or brainstorming ideas onto paper. Even those who are most passionate about the job can still find it exhausting to have their brain on 24/7 without rest. When you find yourself feeling exhausted and on edge with a mile-long to-do list, it’s usually time to let your brain get some time off.

The best way to do this is to go for a walk. Close the computer and the sketchbook and head for a walk to clear your head and get some fresh air. Usually, when you’re forcing yourself to keep working even you’re not feeling productive it does more harm than good. You won’t accomplish anything and your work is pointless. Instead, taking some time to yourself and going for a quick 20-minute stroll will leave you feeling refreshed.

Spend Time With Friends and Family

Spending time with those closest to you has the biggest impact in all areas of your life, whether social or professional. You’ll be surprised at just how much your inspiration can change when you’re around people that you trust and support you. As a creative, you’ll find how easy it is to feel secluded and left out of the group. You’re spending a lot of time working and it’s easy to miss out on that important time that you need to feel human and encouraged.

The people that you choose to surround yourself with have a big impact on who you become and how inspired you feel. Make sure that you not only remember to spend time with those closest to you but that you’re surrounding yourself with people that make you feel your best. Choose friends that encourage and support you and make you feel like the best version of yourself. Remember that who you surround yourself with is directly related to how you feel and can help inspire you. Refuel and get motivated by hanging out with your close friends and family again.
